Some staccato thoughts about the last week: There is something endlessly endearing about people who buy couscous in bulk, never having eaten it before. Good thing I'm a fan and have an arsenal of recipes to throw at it. My new favorite genera name is "unabashed emo-core punk rave-up." It's the "unabashed" that really sold me, but the song itself is nothing to sneeze at. I am pathetically out of shape. We're not even going to discuss my latest pull up count. I haven't been hungry in about two weeks. This is worrying, but I am sure it will pass.

My closing statement on the Olympics, as the only medal I cared about was awarded: PARAGUAY. With your still-behind-the-Italians number of fouls, your two red cards and your shiny silver medal, I love you, I love you, I love you. Argentina, gold is yours and you earned it, and IRAQ. WHAT WOULD IT HAVE TAKEN FOR YOU TO WIN THE STUPID BRONZE? I am disappointed like whoah. Italy shouldn't have won that game by a long shot.
