i had no idea how much structure and "control" was imposed by the peace corps. given the people i've known involved with it, i'm surprised actually. i would have guessed things just "flowed" more than it seems they do.
how are you taking it? i think it might drive me crazy... i'd be inclined to walk away and enjoy my host country on it's own terms and accept those risks. though that would be more a response to the imposition of rules--which i tend to have problems with even if they clearly benefit, heh.
