Reading a lovely Terry Pratchett-eske Harry Potter fic. It's brilliant and funny, and in a minute I will quote lines at you, BUT, (there's always a but...) it's a WiP.

I wasn't going to read WiPs anymore! I was going to stay away from the pain and torment of it all... Evidently I am weak. Anna, I love you and I added you to my fiends list. Hope you don't mind.

I will not, however recommend it. It's a WiP. Most of you have read it already, if I am to judge lj references to it. How come no one ever tells me about these cool things? How come no one posts warnings like "Chapter 1 of aprox. 14" at the beginning of fics? How come I am stupid enough to read them?

Moving on: In actual news, I have found that I like raking. It's kinda fun. (Yes, as in leaves.)

Also noted- I have yet to say anything remotley interesting in this journal. Go me.

The world, if it did not possess the perception of a mince pie, would probably think otherwise.
Mince pie references = good.

Nevertheless, the episode had not been without its compensations, as it had instructed her that wandering blindly through the Street of Trust often means that you are hit by the Lorry of Life.
That Lorry of Life will get you every time.

Of course, when you launch a great deal of magic at something, some of it will end up by sticking... (not that that ever stopped any mage from doing anything; meddling with things you don't understand is half of the definition of witchcraft and wizardry, after all).
What's the other half of the definition?

Card-waving was not exactly high on her list of "catastrophes that make you tear all your clothes and cry out ‘Doomed! We're all doomed!’".
I was not involved. I categorically deny all involvement.

Always tell the truth. It makes keeping your story straight much easier.
