Halloween is a holiday that celebrates free candy. Does someone have my number or what? One of my first memories is of celebrating Dia de los Muertos in Ecuador when I was about four. It's one of those indescribable events that lingers with you fourteen years later. (It also probably has a lot to do with my pyromaniacal tendencies. Burn those effigies that look disturbingly like people in power and hated relatives! May they go up in smoke!)
I would like you all to tremble in fear of my wingedness. I have in my possession, a pair of
large, black, feathered wings which arrived at the
last possible moment. This is a good thing, because I have to get my fangs ready, and I'm informed that this will take me a while.
I don't know what I'm supposed to be, and I don't know how I will survive these thirty degree temperatures in a sleeveless meshy dress. I do know that I will have criminal amounts of fun, one way and another. I do hope Thursday parade gets off the ground soon so that I can dress up for events in
summer when it is
not cold.
Tomorrow: Two classes, one lab, one test I haven't studied for but is going to be easy, one study session, two movies, a few hours of trick-or-treating, one club meeting, one possible free evening of climbing, and innumerable parties of which I will make about two. Right. I can do that and breathe. And, (get this) it will be fun.
Those of you I don't see tomorrow- Happy Samhain!
