Apr. 13th, 2003 04:40 pmI need to read up on Ibuprofen. I'm thinking that overdosing on it isn't going to help me in the long run. I'm tempted to rail at the heavens, but this will not find me a nice, non-side-effect-having pain killer, so what's the point?
In other news, I will admit to never knowing the sheer volume of Magic cards that existed. There are a lot.
In the park today, I saw a toddler, one of the ones who still has the proportions of an infant: one-third body, one-third leg, one-third head. She was running across the grass on tip toe, playing tag with herself. Running as though it was all there was in the world, and a line from a Billy Collins poem raced across my mind. I'm not going to quote the whole poem, because I spend too much time quoting Billy Collins, and that he is the poet lauriet isn't really enough of an excuse for me. But this line, this line sums up the last few days, and the next few days, and every moment I can find to fit it to, from here until whenever.
We are all so foolish,
so damn foolish
we have become beautiful without even knowing it.
Better believe it. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, small children find me amusing. Who could ask for anything more?
