aintbroke: (it had to end sometime)
Fall Break was lovely. I did some climbing, some bumming around, some eating of gelato, some riding of horses, some watching of movies, no art (which makes me a little sad, as I don't know when I'll next get the chance to play with markers and bristol board on an actual table). I got my brain tuned. No, really. I was diagnosed by my mother as having a learning disability. That was a little disconcerting. Evidently, letting mothers into college is a bad, bad idea.

I got lectured to in zen parable, which was strangely heartening. There is no problem in life that can't be made a little more confusing by a parable. Question: Does how you butcher an ox determine your Buddha nature? Answer: Yes, of course, and the Buddha nature will keep your blade sharp for generations. No, I am not making this up. Odd, but in context, logical.

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff is a book. A very good one- one you should read. It's funny without being insulting. The author claims it's historically accurate, so it's educational. It's about religion, without being dogmatic. (Alright, he's hard on the Hindi. But Hindi are hard on Hindu, so that's not too bad.) I bought a copy and left it at my Zendo. They will get love it.

Up until yesterday, I was a blonde. This is no longer true. I blame Alli.

I seem to have forgotten a crucial part of this Lie Meme thing. You know, the part in which I say which was wrong. *rolls eyes* Riiiight. Answers )

When I put my mp3 player on random, every third song is by Zappa. It makes my listening experience that much more surreal.

I am never buying an album by Elliot Smith, from here on out I am only downloading things. Call me a superstitious paranoid, but the man is a coke addict! I think I have some flex room on this one.

I am so, so, so close to being done with my scripting of Roger and Mae. I have only to write the last frigging stanza of the paradelle, which is much trickier than I would have thought. (I have all my words cut out like magnetic poetry, minus the magnets.) NaNoMangO, you are eating my brain!
