May. 9th, 2004 10:53 amIt's a little late, but Happy Birthday
sangredulce! I hope it was filled with beautiful summery things, and good wishes for years to come.
Seeing as it's the weekend before finals week, I repainted my room. Somehow in my head, this made sense. I've never been crazy about the paint in this room- The color was alright, but the geometric building blocks were just ugly. I spent a few hours yesterday painting over the white, and I like it. The downside, of course, is that my room is in shambles, and I'll need to clean it before I can pretend to get started on my homework. Whee. Room cleaning. My favorite.
Other than that scintillating room color update, I have a few links, mostly for myself. If you find them interesting, so much the better. ADS announced the word of the year; sadly, it's not "google." Evidently there is a backlash against the Da Vinci Code, which raises the question posed over at Lotsofco. Pitch has an article about bad movies with good soundtracks. I need more albums to buy like I need a hole in the head. Which reminds me! Jump released their latest album a few weeks ago, and Sloan's Action Pact finally got released this side of the border. I recommend both, if you're in need of some musicality.
On that note, Downhill Battle is an excellent website, with some good points to make about the music industry. Their talking points are particuarly shiny, by which I mean, brightly colored.
