Nov. 1st, 2004 09:10 pmEating a pomegranate feels like a treasure hunt. Even now, when the roof of my mouth is raw and my tongue is two sizes too large, I am feeling unspeakably decadent. This is the important thing of today.
So; I met my boyfriend's mother and younger sibling. After my not-as-minor-as-I-would-have-liked freak out, it went about exactly as expected. The night started on the wrong foot, but ended well, leaving the complaints minimal. The highlight of the evening was NJB's thirteen-year-old brother telling me I am adorable. (Four days later, I am still not sure how to feel about that. I mean, really. What!?) But we played soccer, and discussed the politics of tea with The Mother, and I generally made a likably-terrible impression.
Then I went home, where I got to see my mother and younger sibling, who are both preeeetty darn cool. Alli helped me with my photo project, we saw part of a play which was horrendous beyond words, so we left, then Halloween was filled with extraordinary costumes and too much candy, and I am going to bed at nine o' clock tonight, because for the next five weeks, I have someone to share a bed with, and I'm taking advantage.
