Evidently, lj went down.
I missed it entirely, because this weekend, my internet was down. So instead of randomly clicking through links all day, I watched the Thin Man Marathon on the classic movie channel. It was pretty stupid. Frankly, a weekend of computer time would have been pretty stupid too. When I made that connection, I went to Tent Rocks.
It was really the only option.

High on the list of things I ought not care about and yet somehow waste energy on: This year's Oscar nominations. Let me just state, here, that I'm pretty sure the Oscars are stupid. (This in no way prevents me from passionately caring about "my" films doing well, which, for the record they never do. I have brilliant luck picking out the films that everyone knows can't win.)

That said: How is it possible that The Motorcycle Diaries wasn't nominated for Foreign film? I thought it might be an eligibility issue, but it appears not since it's nominated for best song.
Dear Academy, I don't know what you're looking for in a movie, but heaven forbid it be something I enjoy.

In other fun and exciting news: I made four books this week, none of which involve even the slightest amount of glue. Or adhesive. It's all in the folds, people, all in the folds.

This whole "updating of one's journal" is a concept somehow outside my grasp.

AND, after all this time, I don't really have anything to say for myself. Most of my time is spent in class, where I have not yet learned anything either interesting or exciting. In the rest of my time, I'm half-heartedly looking for a job. (I'd be happy to work if I didn't have to go through the process of actually finding one.)

So mostly, blah. Blah, blah, blah.
