Aug. 31st, 2007 10:50 amOn Sunday, which was a while ago now, I had a car accident. The further I get from it, the more miraculous it is that I managed to not flip the car, not total the car, not hit a tree or boulder, not tear the oil pan out of the car, not damage the car in any profound way, remain whole and unbruised myself, not hit the deer, & etc.
And this is why everyone should be driving small, old Toyota trucks. You can drive them off a cliff- fifteen vertical feet from the road- and everything will be alright. Not that I recommend you try this, I believe I have tested this theory enough for everyone.
Since then, I have bought a car (why yes, yes it is a small, old Toyota truck), found insurance and gotten a license plate, really regretted not owning a cell phone, stalked a few people for housing, and maybe, possibly, nailed down a place to live. I won't actually find that out until this afternoon.
So far this whole "cars and housing and general adulty-ness" has proved to be less traumatizing than driving a car off a cliff, so kudos for timing, universe!
