Jan. 15th, 2008 08:22 pmA few years ago, I posted a year in music review. I really liked making it, and thinking about tracks, and just generally sharing music as it's something I think about a lot. I started making one in August 06, while in Peace Corps training- I had plans to fill it up with dancehall tracks and whatnot, but my hard drive failed, and I never really got back to it. I still had the music, but the motivation -*poof*
I started again this November, but this year, I wanted to make it a media in review kind of thing- podcasts and vids and television shows, because if I must fail at posting, I should make up for it in the posts I do make! And again, the hard drive. This time, I was backupless.
But a few of these things are on the internet, and by god, my own technical problems should not stop you from enjoying them.
First: This short is, I'm pretty sure, directed at the audience of me. It is animated (!) there are zombies (!!) and there is a prominently featured banjo (!!!!!!). If you haven't heard me mention my overwhelming love for these things, you have not been paying attention.

Second: This song would have gone on the year in media review, because I like it, and it has the best intro to guitar solo ever!, but the animated version (see above point re: my feelings on animation, namely yay)

Mostly though, this post is brought to you by the awesome that is the BBC learn to speak Welsh page. I am learning to make change! In Welsh! My dog has only blown me up twice! I am going to be chanting "wyth punt pedwardeg pump, naw pump chwechdeg tri" ALL DAY tomorrow! I feel very sad for everyone who has to actually interact with me.
