Back in November, I think I broke my toe. I mean, it never turned purple, which kind of threw me (You do expect bruising, don't you?) and there wasn't a direct trauma.

Anyway. It still hurts. At what point do I actually have to do something about this?

Treatment for a broken toe is usually just ice and rest; occasionally splinting the toe to its neighbour is required and very, very occasionally a cast is used (for multiple fractures or a broken big toe).

Which is to say that I would still go and see a doctor and get an x-ray, but that it's unlikely there's a lot you can do about it.

You should get it checked out; it may turn out to be serious in the long run, you never know.

I think you should have gotten it checked out about 5 months ago. the doctors might not have been able to do much that you didnt do yourself, but then you would know for sure how badly it was broken.
bottom line: get yourself into the student health clinic at the earliest free moment. just to make sure.
