I don't know that this really needs saying, but I'm putting it out there just in case.

Nothing good will come of reading the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report at two thirty in the morning. ... Just, no.

I mention this, because this is what I've fallen asleep reading, the last four nights. The best part? I was totally confused as to why I was waking up anxious and concerned! Why this was a surprise is one of those unsolved mysteries of my head.

(New Mexico has twice the national average of delivery by midwives! Go us!)

INDEEDY! The other one really high on the list is Alaska, which makes me wonder if it's a rural thing. Hmmmmm. *strokes chin* I don't really care enough to find out, but interesting, none the less.
