Dear Battlestar Galactica:
That was not ok.
I mean, it was good television! It was watchable, and emotionally consistent, and it was logical, AND internally consistent, (YOU BROUGHT BACK LEOBEN) it tied up a lot of loose threads, it opened new avenues for next season. Once again, it was ethical and real and moral and I love that you both dealt with issues and then backed off. I loved the leap in time, and I love what it did for the characters. I love the characters (SO MUCH LOVE), and I love how much you managed to fit into an hour and a half.
I do not love that you made me a fangirl. I do not love that I was planning my Friday evenings around you, and I really, really don't love that I'm going to miss that. I don't love that you managed two solid seasons without breaking my heart or my head (I'M LOOKING AT YOU STARGATE: ATLANTIS; FIREFLY) because now I have expectations, and hopes and fears about this show, and I am leaving the country for two years.
You made me care about television. There are not words for how despicable you are.
(In sum, the things I'm going to miss while in the third world: internet access, fried vegetarian nuggets, and BSG.)
