Jan. 20th, 2004 08:50 pmThree things:
I was complaining to myself (stridently) that if this dearth of good live music continued, I was moving to Chicago, or somewhere that my plethora of living musicians actually played. Then in my compulsive rechecking pollstar paid off- Ana Egge is going to be playing here on my birthday. I don't think "squee" sums it up enough.
This almost makes up for the fact that I have a calc test on Thursday, and I can't integrate to save my life. Differentiate, sure. Integrate, not so much.
My Wilderness First Responder recertification was fun, in that it's left me with a lingering sense of panic. People are so fragile and so many things can go wrong and I'm supposed to make sure they don't, but they will, because they have to and aaack! And, thanks to Murphy, the more combative and irritable a person is, the more they need my help. Because that's fair. On the upside, I can bandage ankles, sling-and-swathe and diagnose spinal injuries without making a fool of myself. In an actual panic strewn emergency situation, I think I'd make it through alright.
