Happy New Years Eve, oh wonderful world of internet!

I'm spending my holiday on the beach. It has a certain novelty to it, and I must say: I am a fan. I'm in Port Royal, a little town on the Kingston harbor, with a history of pirates. (Lots of swimming to be had, so far, no pirates sighted.)

My Christmas loot this year was three phone calls, one letter, and a t-shirt proclaiming English is not my native language. (English is not my native language, and I find this shirt inappropriately hilarious, considering it's nothing but the truth.) I gave no presents, aside from helping strip wallpaper and repaint a house, which while helpful, isn't entirely "gift-like" so I'm officially calling this the mellowest Christmas season ever.
