Jan. 23rd, 2007 03:56 pmI am at my local library, and I promised, promised PROMISED myself that I would update today, but there are eight (I just counted, all stelthy-like) primary school girls in uniform, reading over my shoulder. I am surprised how disturbing I find this.
One of them just told me she likes my hair, which is either very subtle mockery for a nine year old, or sucking up to a strange and unnatural degree.
Anyway. Since I won't be posting anything of substance (I know, I know, chances were slim as it was) I would like the record to state that my post Peace Corps goal may be strongly tied to importing tamarind, soursop and sorrel ice creams.
And patties. I'm having a bit of an obsessive relationship with the Mother's Power Patty (Full House). Patties are turnovers and, for some reason, strangely orange in color. They must be fried, but they're not greasy, instead, flaking over your clothes and making a mess unless you perfect the art of eating it in the bag. (I'm working on this.) The Power patty is filled with veggi-mince, a textured soy protein, and spiced hot enough to have a bite. With the full house option, they cut the patty open and lay cheese, tomato and luttuce in it, making it not just delicious, but down-right addictive. Mmmm.
Perhaps I should find some lunch.
