ESS. QUE. YOU. EE. EE.

Hurrah for undergraduate research projects. Hurrah! I am going to be working in the Pathology and Cancer Research Department of University Hospital. Most of my job will involve making solutions, and tending cell cultures. This is to be expected. BUT! But! I am to be given my own t00by little research project.

I will be researching a genetic kidney disease that, no matter how much of my life I devote to it, I have no hope of ever being able to spell. My job will be running experiments on a tagged form of RNA, which may or may not “eat” the proteins created by tainted mRNA. Strand seventeen is mine, all mine! Geeky? Yes. But also highly cool.

They’re letting me write RNA. I am going to be creating my own strains of mini-life! (Cue the evil scientist theme music.)

I also get to (have to?) steal kidneys from the autopsies. I'm not sure if this is a good thing, or squicky beyond all reason. The really brilliant part is that I'll get credit for Anatomy and Physiology, with out ever having to go to the lectures.

Some random news articles, because I know you are all hurting for things to read. This article displays all we love about the CSM. And when I say "we" I mean "I." (I particularly like the Clinton cameo at the end.)

Also, how is this a debate? In the quantity vs. quality, I'm rooting quality every single time.

i say that strips should have a set time that they come out, but have enough time to make quality work. if i want to look at crappy comics, i'll look at my own.

(which reminds me. i sat down comicing the other night and i meant to draw you and realized that i don't really know what you look like. i was more than slightly amused by this.)

But if they have a set time to come out, you are held hostage to the evils of predictability! (Also, people could read your stuff, and how creepy would that be? I live for tormenting my audience.)

And hurrah for the doofus Halloween photo! Hurrah!

that's why i would set it up to give myself enough time to KNOW that i would have a strip ready by that time. and if i wasn't going to have a strip ready by that time, i would tell them that and give them something else to keep them busy....anyway, alli and i tried to get a keenspace account, but they're full, last time i checked.

HURRAH!!

Keenspace has gone the way of the dodo.

But... you know. I have webspace. I'll even code it for you if you want. Seriously. I have three times the space I'm using, which is a ridiculously large amount.

I sure hope you make a big difference. I just lost my lady after we had been together for 25 years to small cell cancer and let me tell you I sure had a helpless feeling when the Doctor said to her "Your Dieing and their is no treatment that will keep you alive for more then 10 months". Well she proved them wrong and made it 10 1/2 months and died in my arms at home the way she wanted to. YOU GET OFF YOUR RUMP AND WORK ON IT LADY, It's bad enough when it is a old person but it really makes you sick to see all the little kids to are two and three years old.
Yes Xan it is anonymous only because I have no clue what my user/pass is after these months of living hell.

I have a brilliant research project here, thank you. Philly is humid and icky.

I must concede the humid and icky, IN GENERAL. TODAY has been beautiful and exactly the right temperature.
